We're a team of passionate people committed to creating outstanding experiences for our customers, our colleagues, and our community.Guided by our mission to "Put a Smile in Every Drive", we're looking for an exceptional Stock Controller to join our growing team and play a critical role in keeping our dealership operations running smoothly.If you're highly organised, love numbers and processes, and take pride in getting the details right, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.Why This Role MattersAs our Stock Controller, you'll be the central link between our Sales, Administration, and Finance teams, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of vehicle inventory across our multi-franchise dealership.Your work directly impacts reporting accuracy, vehicle availability, customer delivery timelines, and business performance.Working across our brands, you'll help ensure every vehicle is accounted for, correctly costed, and ready for its next chapter with a customer.What You'll Be DoingVehicle Inventory ManagementManage vehicle stock within our Dealer Management System (Auto-IT experience highly regarded)Receipt incoming vehicles accurately and promptlyVerify VINs, specifications, factory invoices, and vehicle costsApply landed costs including freight, accessories, and delivery chargesMaintain accurate stock valuations and inventory recordsStock Control & ReconciliationConduct regular stock checks across new and used vehicle inventoryReconcile physical stockMonitor stock ageing and identify opportunities for actionManage demonstrator vehicle tracking, kilometres,



and lifecycle reportingSales & Operations SupportPartner closely with Sales Managers on vehicle allocation and sourcingCoordinate dealer trades and stock transfersValidate sold vehicles for accuracy before deliverySupport the integrity of gross profit and stock reportingReporting & Financial ControlsPrepare and maintain key stock reports, including:Stock ageing reportsDemonstrator vehicle reportsIncoming vehicle pipeline reportsSold-not-delivered reportingAssist with month-end stock reconciliation and reporting requirementsWhat Success Looks LikeYou're someone who:Loves working with systems, processes, and dataThrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy mattersEnjoys collaborating across departmentsCan identify issues before they become problemsTakes ownership and follows throughAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:Previous experience in automotive stock control, vehicle administration, dealership operations, or a similar roleStrong knowledge of vehicle inventory processes and stock flowExperience using Auto-IT or another Dealer Management SystemExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsConfidence working with reconciliations, reporting, and financial informationStrong communication and relationship-building abilitiesWhy Join Mackay City Auto Group?
