It is a values-based organisation, that is not-for-profit, industry-owned and led, that is contracted by the federal government.We have an opportunity for a Communications Coordinator to join us on a full time basis in an ongoing capacity subject to funding (currently funded until mid-****).
The role may be located anywhere in Australia and will involve travel with overnight stays for organisation meetings, stakeholder meetings, workshops, and industry events.About the positionHumanAbility is seeking a skilled and dynamic Communications Coordinator to support the creation and delivery of communications about our work.The Communications Coordinator will work with the Senior Communications Advisor and other members of the Communications team to plan, draft and create clear, concised and compelling communications about HumanAbility's projects and work.You'll work on internal and external communications including our website,



newsletter, events and social media channels.This position will also assist the wider Communications team as required and will at times be required to liaise with a range of contractors, such as graphic designers, videographers, and website developers.Key AccountabilitiesIdentify, plan and create content for HumanAbility's communications channels, including social, digital and newslettersTranslate complex technical, policy and workforce content into plain English that suits the target audienceDraft communication materials with clarity, accuracy, and consistencyEnsure all content is accessible and appropriate for diverse audiences, including industry stakeholders and the publicWork closely with other teams as directed to align communications across our sectorsAssist in the development or commissioning of multimedia content, including videos and graphics, as requiredObserve and followwork health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelinesQualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or similar or demonstrated equivalent experienceExperience working in a Communications
