DGH is seeking skilled Fitters to join our team for the Cannington Shut Down.
This is a casual position offering an excellent chance to contribute your expertise to a significant industrial maintenance and shutdown operation.What you'll be doingPerforming maintenance and repair work on industrial equipment and machinery as part of the shutdown operationInstalling, aligning and assembling mechanical components and systems to precise specificationsReading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions accuratelyConducting diagnostic work to identify mechanical faults and implement effective solutionsUsing hand tools, power tools and specialised equipment safely and competentlyCollaborating with other trades and team members to ensure shutdown objectives are met on scheduleMaintaining a clean and safe work environment,



adhering to all health and safety protocolsDocumenting work completed and reporting on progress to supervisorsWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Fitter in industrial, mining or heavy equipment maintenance environmentsStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics and general machinery operationProficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding engineering specificationsCompetence with hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instrumentsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a teamCommitment to health and safety standards and a strong safety recordFlexibility and reliability, with the ability to work on a project basisExperience in shutdown or turnaround operations would be highly advantageous
