Adecco is partnering with a leading foodservice manufacturer to recruit an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager based in Queensland.The OpportunityReporting to the State Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving recent business growth across Queensland, with a strong focus on winning and developing foodservice end‐user accounts.This is a genuine new-business role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the market, identifying opportunities, meeting with chefs and operators, conducting product presentations and tastings, coordinating trials, and converting opportunities into long-term customers.You will work closely with foodservice distributors to ensure new end-user wins translate into ongoing product availability, repeat purchasing and sustainable sales growth.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the Queensland foodservice marketBuild strong relationships with chefs, restaurant and café operators, QSRs, catering businesses and other commercial foodservice customersConduct product presentations, tastings, sampling and customer trialsDevelop new accounts and identify opportunities to increase product range and customer spendWork alongside distributor branches and sales teams to convert end-user demand into ongoing salesBuild and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified new-business opportunitiesDevelop a structured territory plan and maintain a consistent customer call cycleMaintain accurate CRM records, pipeline activity, forecasting and follow-upSupport new product launches and provide feedback on customer and market opportunitiesAbout YouTo be successful in this role,



you will have a strong understanding of the foodservice or hospitality market and enjoy actively developing new business rather than solely managing an existing portfolio.You will be confident engaging directly with chefs, owners and foodservice operators and have the commercial drive to turn product trials and customer conversations into repeatable sales volume.Preferred Experience3+ years' experience in Business Development, Territory Sales, Account Management or foodservice salesProven experience hunting and securing new businessExperience selling into restaurants, cafés, QSRs, catering businesses or commercial foodservice operatorsStrong understanding of the foodservice market and distribution channelsConfidence conducting product demonstrations, tastings and trials with customersExperience managing a territory, sales pipeline and structured call cycleStrong CRM, forecasting and commercial planning capabilityHighly RegardedPrevious experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef or within a commercial kitchen environmentFoodservice sales experience combined with a previous chef or hospitality careerExisting relationships across the Queensland foodservice marketExperience selling food products, ingredients, sauces, condiments or other products used within commercial kitchensExperience working with foodservice distributors while developing demand directly with end usersWhat's On Offer$110,000 - $130,000 base salary + SuperPerformance-based incentive opportunityVehicle/car allowanceQueensland territory ownershipOpportunity to represent an established foodservice product portfolioHighly autonomous, field-based sales positionStrong opportunity for an experienced foodservice salesperson or former chef who has successfully transitioned into sales
