A well-established civil and infrastructure organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Officer to join their team in a permanent full time position.You'll lead the accounts receivable function from end to end, reporting to the CFO and mentoring an Accounts Receivable Officer.
It's a great fit for someone who knows their way around a large debtors ledger, enjoys building good working relationships with clients, and likes finding better ways to get invoices out and cash in.What you'll be doingManaging the full accounts receivable cycle, including high-volume invoicing, credit control, reconciliations and debt recoveryOwning the aged debtors ledger, meeting collection targets and escalating overdue accounts earlyHandling client invoicing queries, credit disputes and payment delaysWorking with Operations and Project teams to resolve billing discrepancies and make sure billing matches contract requirementsPreparing weekly and monthly reports on debtor ageing, collections and outstanding balancesSupporting the Head of Finance with forecasting,
cash flow insights and receivables trend analysisMentoring and training a junior AR team member and managing day-to-day workflowSupporting audits and recommending improvements to invoicing systems, workflows and controlsAbout youAt least five years in accounts receivable or a similar finance role, ideally in civil, construction or infrastructureExperience managing high-volume invoicing and debtor ledgersA strong understanding of contract claims, debt recovery and reconciliationsA clear, confident communicator who can have firm but respectful conversations about paymentWhat's on offerA senior role reporting directly to the CFOLeadership of a small AR team, with scope to improve systems and processesExposure to the commercial side of the business through forecasting and cash flow reportingCompetitive salary of $100,000 - $110,000 + superannuationConvenient inner suburb office
