Hobart

The Tasmanian Land Conservancy (TLC) is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to help drive our organisational performance through trusted financial reporting, analysis and commercial insights.

About The TLC

The TLC is a for-purpose (not-for-profit), non-political, science and community-based organisation that protects nature on private land in Tasmania. Through science, community, and enduring commitment, we inspire and empower people to conserve nature in Tasmania. We do this for the benefit of current and future generations and for nature itself.

We conserve important habitats and ecosystems by raising funds to buy and manage private land and by working with landholders to protect nature on their land. In a changing world, our work is more significant than ever. We hold that nature underpins all life and that our efforts contribute to a future where nature is flourishing, valued and fundamental to Tasmania's character. We believe we achieve more for nature by working with others and by applying the best available science in our decision making.

TLC's strategy is to expand protection and care for nature by integrating conservation models. These include TLC reserves that are owned and managed in perpetuity, land protected by conservation covenants through our Revolving Fund, and by working with landowners to protect the ecological values on their properties through programs including the Midlands Conservation Partnership, Land for Wildlife, Gardens for Wildlife and WildTracker. In 25 years of operation, TLC has helped to conserve over 110,000 hectares throughout Tasmania. Our aim is to extend the land we manage as permanent reserve and other land conserved by an additional 25% by 2030 by continuing to build a community for conservation in Tasmania.
