Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding

The Opportunity
We're partnering with an established international freight forwarding business looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support its continued growth across Sydney.
This is an opportunity for a commercially driven freight forwarding professional who understands the market, has strong industry relationships and enjoys winning new business.
You'll be joining an established business with the infrastructure and operational support to deliver on the opportunities you generate.
The Role
Reporting into senior management, you'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities across international freight forwarding, with a focus on building long-term, profitable customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, targeting and securing new freight forwarding customers across Sydney and NSW.
- Developing opportunities across international air and sea freight.
- Leveraging existing industry relationships to build a strong pipeline of new business.
- Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and client meetings through to quotations, negotiations and onboarding.
- Working closely with operations and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition of new accounts.
- Developing and executing a proactive business development strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
About You

- Proven business development experience within international freight forwarding.
- An established network of importers, exporters and relevant industry contacts.
- A track record of winning new business and developing profitable customer accounts.
- Strong understanding of air and sea freight solutions, pricing and commercial negotiations.
- The ability to work independently, manage a sales pipeline and deliver results.
- A relationship-driven approach with a genuine passion for sales.
