About the Role:
We urgently need an experienced Sonographer for a short locum placement at a rural public hospital in Tennant Creek, NT, from as soon as possible until 19 November 2026. As the sole sonographer on site, you will provide essential ultrasound services to a predominantly Aboriginal community in the Barkly region. This is a meaningful role where your skills make a real difference.
- Provide general ultrasound services as the sole sonographer on site
- Manage your own worklist, prioritising urgent and emergency referrals
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images in line with protocols and ALARA principles
- Deliver culturally protected, patient-centred care
- Work closely with hospital medical and nursing staff
- Maintain accurate records and documentation

About You:
- ASAR accredited Sonographer
- Broad general ultrasound skills, with confidence working independently
- Experience in remote or Aboriginal health settings highly regarded
- National Police Clearance
- Available to start immediately
