Interested in community Speech Pathology, but tired of incentive schemes that only reward you for pushing past a full clinical diary?

At Elev8 Wellness & Health, you don’t need to exceed your full-time billable target to earn a bonus, and your incentive recognises clinical quality and client outcomes rather than raw session volume.

I’m partnering with Elev8 in Canberra to recruit their foundation Speech Pathologist.

You might already be working in the NDIS space, or you might be considering a move from ACT Health, education or Current Zealand. Previous NDIS experience isn’t essential. Elev8’s team and onboarding structure will support you in learning that side of the role.

A sustainable workload, with room for good clinical work
For a full-time clinician, the standard billable target is 100 hours per month (equivalent to around 25 hours per week).

Sitting between 80 and 100 billable hours per month keeps you comfortably on track in the green zone, giving you breathing room when cancellations or complex cases come up.

Targets are tracked monthly rather than as rigid daily requirements, with adjustments made upfront for approved annual leave, personal leave and ACT public holidays. An agreed ramp-up supports a paced transition into the systems and caseload.

A bonus that recognises more than billable hours
The package includes an $85,000 to $102,000 base salary plus super, with a quarterly performance bonus of up to $8,400 to $9,300 annually (taking total remuneration up to $93,000 to $111,000+ OTE plus super).

Bonus eligibility starts when you achieve 90% of your adjusted billable target (around 90 hours per month,

or 22.5 hours per week). Once unlocked, a retroactive bonus of up to 4% applies across every billable hour from Hour 1.

You don’t need to exceed your standard target to access the incentive. The bonus amount is based on clinical quality, client experience and outcomes, timely therapy plans and reporting, subject to the scheme’s conditions and discretionary approval.

When you qualify each quarter, you can take the cash bonus, or opt for alternatives such as a paid Pulse Recharge Day (with 5 billable hours credited to your timesheet so a day off doesn’t set you back), professional development funding or non-billable project hours.

An established local team and systems to build on
As the first Speech Pathologist in the Canberra hub, you’ll build a caseload weighted toward children, teens and young adults across communication, social interaction and executive functioning.

While you’ll be pioneering the speech discipline locally, you’ll work alongside an established Canberra team of four employed Occupational Therapists and a local Clinical Lead who provide day-to-day operational and team support.

To support your clinical practice and CPSP development,

Elev8 will fully fund external 1:1 clinical supervision with an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist.

Digital assessment tools and clinical templates are already available, and dedicated administration support handles CRM file setup and invoicing while you retain control of your diary.

Flexibility, with support for your own development
The working model combines community visits (schools and homes) and working from home for documentation, with access to Elev8’s Canberra clinic space.

You’ll have flexibility to structure your calendar within a 7am to 7pm scheduling window around client appointments and your own routine.

Elev8 is also open to discussing part-time hours, four-day working weeks or nine-day fortnights.

Could this be your next step?
Current Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) registration (CPSP or eligible to transition) and a current driver’s licence are essential.

Around six to 12+ months of post-graduate experience is preferred, along with the clinical confidence to build the speech caseload locally with strong external mentoring behind you.

Whether your background is in NDIS community practice, hospitals, schools or private clinics, we’re interested in the clinical strengths you would bring.

Let’s talk
You don’t need to be certain about changing jobs to start a conversation.

Apply below or contact David Cameron at Be Recruitment for a confidential chat. We can talk through the caseload, working arrangements and bonus structure before you decide whether to take things further.
