About the Role

Elite Executive is partnering with a well-established organisation in regional Queensland to recruit an experienced Work Health & Safety professional to join their team.

This position offers flexibility and may be appointed on either a permanent or temporary basis, depending on the experience, availability and preferences of the successful candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced WHS professional who enjoys working across a diverse operational environment and is confident providing practical, contemporary advice to managers and employees.

You will play an important role in supporting the organisation's commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, while helping to further develop a positive and proactive safety culture.

Your Responsibilities

You will contribute to the effective management and continuous improvement of WH&S; practices, working with leaders and operational teams to strengthen compliance, manage risk and embed a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities may include:

- Providing practical WH&S; advice, guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Monitoring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and organisational policies.
- Identifying hazards, assessing risks and supporting the implementation of effective control measures.
- Coordinating safety audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Reviewing and maintaining WH&S; policies, procedures, systems and documentation.
- Supporting consultation, training and initiatives that promote safe work practices.
- Contributing to injury management, return-to-work processes and continuous improvement,



where required.

About You

You are a proactive and credible WH&S; professional who can build effective relationships, communicate confidently and translate safety requirements into practical solutions.

You will ideally bring:

- Demonstrated experience in a WH&S; advisory, coordination or management role.
- A sound understanding of relevant WH&S; legislation, risk management and compliance.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams.
- Relevant WH&S; qualifications and experience suited to the requirements of the position.

Experience in local government, the public sector or complex operational environments will be highly regarded.
