About the opportunity

GBS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Telehandler Operator for a temporary assignment supporting operations at an onshore gas well site in South Gippsland.

Starting 9 November 2026, this is an excellent opportunity for a safety-conscious operator seeking a short-term assignment with the potential to earn well through extended hours and overtime. Daily requirements may vary depending on site activities.

About the role

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will assist with the safe and efficient movement of equipment and materials across the site. Your duties will include:

- Loading and unloading trucks and moving pipes, pallets, supplies and equipment.
- Positioning heavy equipment and supporting drilling and maintenance crews.
- Completing daily pre-start inspections and reporting equipment defects.
- Following load charts, protected lifting procedures and site safety requirements.
- Assisting with general site duties when telehandler operations are not required.

About you





To be considered, you will need:

- A current telehandler competency ticket and relevant High Risk Work Licence for the equipment and duties.
- A Construction Industry White Card.
- Experience operating telehandlers on civil, construction or industrial sites.
- The ability to interpret load charts and work safely around other personnel and machinery.
- Availability to commence on 9 November and work extended shifts throughout the assignment.

A Dogging Licence, Forklift Licence and Working at Heights certification will be highly regarded.
