Lead the civil design of major building projects with a leading engineering consultancy.

We are currently seeking a Senior to Associate level Civil Engineer with strong Civil Site Design experience to join a high-performing engineering team delivering major building projects.

This is an prospect for an experienced Civil Engineer to take ownership of projects, provide technical leadership and become a key point of contact between the consultancy, clients, architects and broader project teams.

The Opportunity
You will be responsible for leading the civil engineering component of building projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will provide practical civil engineering solutions while managing design outcomes, project interfaces and client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading civil site design for major building developments
- Civil design and documentation using Civil 3D
- Stormwater drainage and site grading
- Pavement and access design
- Earthworks and levels
- External civil works associated with commercial and building developments
- Managing civil engineering deliverables across projects
- Reviewing designs and providing technical leadership
- Coordinating with structural, architectural, hydraulic and other building services disciplines
- Liaising directly with clients, architects, contractors and authorities
- Providing consultancy and technical interface throughout project delivery
- Managing project priorities, deadlines and design outcomes




- Mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate engineers
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the Civil team

Project Environment
The team delivers civil engineering solutions associated with major building developments, including:

- Commercial buildings
- High-rise and mixed-use developments
- Residential developments
- Industrial projects
- Defence
- Healthcare
- Education
- Major precinct developments
- Inner-urban developments

You will be involved in projects where civil engineering is closely integrated with the broader building design, providing excellent exposure to complex interfaces and technically challenging site conditions.

What We're Looking For
We're interested in Civil Engineers who have:

- Senior or Associate-level Civil Engineering experience
- Strong Civil Site Design experience within the building/project development environment
- Advanced experience with Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of stormwater, drainage, earthworks, grading and access design
- Experience delivering civil engineering documentation from concept through to construction
- Ability to lead projects and manage technical deliverables
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and project stakeholders
- Strong communication and consultancy skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams
- A practical and commercially minded approach to engineering
