Dubbo

Dubbo, NSW | Full time | On-site

Use your inventory control experience to take ownership of stock accuracy, warehouse operations and continuous improvement.

Who We Are

At Maverick Bio, we transform animal-derived materials into high-quality biomaterials used in life sciences and medical applications around the world.

Our work brings together manufacturing, quality, science and supply chain teams, with a shared commitment to producing materials that meet demanding customer and regulatory requirements.

We’re a growing Australian business where collaboration, responsiveness and doing things well really matter.

Why This Role Matters

Accurate inventory is essential to keeping our operations running smoothly.

When stock records don’t match what’s physically available, the impact extends beyond the warehouse. It can affect Production schedules, purchasing decisions, product availability and the ability of other teams to do their jobs.

We’re looking for someone who understands that effective inventory control involves more than receiving, storing and moving stock.

In this hands-on role, you’ll take responsibility for maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating discrepancies, coordinating warehouse activities and helping ensure our Production teams have the materials they need.

You’ll also have the opportunity to identify and implement practical improvements to how we manage inventory and warehouse operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Inventory Control & Accuracy

- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock movements and warehouse locations.
- Coordinate cycle counts and stocktakes, investigate discrepancies and follow through on corrective actions.
- Use our ERP system to record transactions, reconcile inventory information and maintain reliable stock data.
- Identify recurring inventory issues and help implement practical controls to prevent them.

Warehouse Operations & Planning

- Coordinate day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking and dispatch.
- Prioritise competing requirements to ensure materials are available when Production needs them.
- Monitor stock levels and support replenishment, purchasing and supplier coordination.
- Maintain an organised, safe and efficient warehouse environment.

Continuous Improvement & Team Coordination

- Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy, warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
- Support the implementation of practical improvements,

including standardised processes and visual management.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to warehouse team members.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and other teams to resolve issues and maintain operational continuity.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll be successful in this role if you can:

- Take ownership of inventory accuracy – ensuring stock records are reliable and discrepancies are investigated and resolved, not simply passed on.
- Think beyond the immediate task – recognising the impact inventory and warehouse decisions have on Production and other teams.
- Plan and prioritise independently – balancing competing demands while keeping critical work moving.
- Use systems confidently – understanding the importance of accurate transactions, reliable data and disciplined inventory processes.
- Solve problems and prevent recurrence – looking for root causes and implementing practical improvements.
- Lead through action – setting a positive example, supporting others and encouraging accountability.
- Work collaboratively – communicating clearly and helping different teams achieve shared outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who already has meaningful, hands-on experience in inventory control and warehouse or stores operations.

You’ll need to bring:

- Practical experience managing inventory accuracy, stock movements and discrepancies in a warehouse or stores environment.
- Experience using inventory management, warehouse management or ERP systems to maintain and investigate stock records.
- An understanding of cycle counts, stocktakes, reconciliations and the importance of accurate inventory transactions.
- The ability to organise your own work, manage competing priorities and respond to operational requirements.
- A practical approach to problem-solving, with the confidence to investigate issues and follow them through to resolution.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate recordkeeping and a commitment to following established processes.

- The willingness and physical capacity to undertake hands-on warehouse duties.

It would be an advantage if you also have:

- Experience in manufacturing, maintenance stores, agricultural equipment, automotive parts, industrial supply or another inventory-focused environment.
- Experience supporting purchasing, replenishment or supplier coordination.
- Exposure to continuous improvement, LEAN, 5S or similar approaches.
- Experience guiding, training or coordinating other team members.
- Experience working in a quality-controlled or regulated environment.
- A current forklift licence, or the willingness and ability to obtain one.

You don’t need to have worked with our products or systems before. We’ll support you in learning those aspects of the role.

We’re particularly interested in people who have taken responsibility for getting inventory right, not just moving stock from one place to another.

Why Join Maverick?

- Make a genuine impact: Your work directly supports Production and the reliability of our operations.
- Take ownership: Have the opportunity to improve inventory accuracy, processes and the way the warehouse operates.
- Stay hands-on: Combine practical warehouse work with planning, problem-solving and coordination.
- Build your capability: Develop your knowledge of manufacturing supply chains, quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Work as part of a connected team: Collaborate with people across Supply Chain, Production, Quality and other areas of the business.

We understand that changing jobs takes planning. We’re happy to discuss a suitable commencement date, including a start in the new year, for the right candidate.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you have strong inventory-control experience, enjoy solving operational problems and want a role where you can take greater ownership, we’d love to hear from you.
