As our operations continue to grow, we’re on the hunt for Sweeper Operators to join our Port Hedland team, servicing BHP WAIO and Port & Rail operations on a 7:7 roster.
If you have operated commercial sweepers or scrubbers, or you are an experienced bus or truck driver with a HR licence looking for your next move, we’d love to hear from you!
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Work a 7:7 roster out of Port Hedland [FIFO ex Perth / residential]
- Operate automatic sweeper HR trucks across BHP WAIO and Port & Rail operations
- Operate side brooms, main conveyor brushes, and high-pressure water or vacuum systems to collect dirt, spillage and debris
- Monitor hopper capacity and travel to approved disposal and tip sites to empty loads
- Complete daily prestart safety checks and refill water tanks
- Report faults and carry out basic maintenance as required
- Complete job sheets and records accurately
- Follow all BHP site rules, permits and safety procedures
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Valid HR Licence or higher (essential)
- Commercial scrubber or sweeper operating experience (highly regarded)
- Street sweeping experience (preferred, we’re willing to train the right candidate)
- BHP WAIO inducted (advantageous)
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to procedures
- Clean driving record
- Reliable, with good attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team
- Australian citizens or permanent residents only. Visa holders will not be considered.
