About the role

Entura is currently growing our teams to support our exciting pipeline of projects. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to be part of our Primary and Transmission Engineering team. Within this role, you’ll undertake as range of technical and client facing activities covering project management, technical design, bidding and scoping activities, client negotiations and stakeholder management.

Salary from $118,853 plus super

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver electrical solutions for power and renewable energy projects.

• Prepare high-quality engineering studies, specifications and designs.

• Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to solve technical challenges.

• Contribute to project planning, delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support site investigations, testing and commissioning activities.

The role is based in our Hobart office however flexible work arrangements are considered. Given the diversity of our clients and projects, there may be some local, national and international travel required.

Skills & experience





• Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia, or equivalent professional body.

• 3-7 years relevant post-graduate experience with experience within an engineering design consultancy environment highly desirable.

• Experience in some of the following:

· Industrial, commercial, building services or utilities industries

· Cable design, sizing and selection

· Protection systems

· Variable Speed Drives

· Load flow and fault level studies

· Lighting design

· LV light and power distribution design

· Switchboard design and specification

· Lightning protection system design

· Primary equipment specifications and plant layouts

· Ability to read and develop single line diagrams

· Earthing system design, testing and analysis

· HV and LV distribution design

· Arc flash

• Abilities to solve complex technical and operational problems, with an innovative or a systematic approach.

• Experience with client and project management.

• Solid eagerness to develop skills and knowledge while utilising self-starter initiative to support individual projects and team outcomes.
