About the role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in the Northern and Southern suburbs of Adelaide, Port Pirie and Goolwa. We have multiple part time and casual positions available. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our participants to achieve their personal goals, maintain independence, and participate in community activities. Your work will directly impact the wellbeing and quality of life of the people we serve, making this a rewarding chance within the community services and disability support sector.

Key responsibilities

- Providing direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities, assisting with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation

- Supporting participants to access community activities, social events, and recreational opportunities that promote independence and social inclusion

- Assisting participants with mobility and physical support needs in a safe and dignified manner

- Building positive relationships with participants and families, maintaining open and respectful communication

- Documenting participant support activities and progress in accordance with organisational policies and procedures

- Assisting with household tasks and maintaining a safe, clean and supportive living environment

- Supporting participants to develop life skills and independence where appropriate

- Accompanying clients to appointments and community outings as required





- Working collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality support delivery

- Maintaining confidentiality and upholding the dignity and rights of clients at all times

What we're looking for

- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to person-centered care

- Experience working in disability support, aged care, or a related community services role (desirable but not essential for entry-level candidates)

- Certificate III in Individual Support

- Valid NDIS and WWCC clearance or willingness to obtain these clearances.

- A current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues

- Physical capability to assist clients with mobility and personal care needs

- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude towards work commitments

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A strong commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and respecting client dignity and rights

- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of clients
