About the team
Group TeamCover manages workers compensation self-insurance across the Wesfarmers Group, working closely with our diverse businesses to minimise the impact of workplace injuries and achieve positive outcomes for team members and the business.
As a national team, we manage workers compensation claims across our self-insured businesses, oversee Group self-insurance licence requirements and support safety systems and initiatives across the Group.
You’ll join a collaborative team working across a broad range of claims, stakeholders and businesses, with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and finding practical ways to work more effectively.
About you
You’re detail-oriented and organised, with experience in claims support, administration or another operational environment where accuracy, responsiveness and follow-through matter.
Alongside this, you’re naturally curious about how processes can work better. You enjoy looking for opportunities to remove duplication, simplify manual tasks and use technology to create more efficient and consistent ways of working.
You have experience building automation or digital solutions using Microsoft 365 and Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps or Power BI, or similar technologies.
You’re self-directed, practical and reliable, and comfortable balancing routine operational activities with improvement work. You communicate clearly, work well within a team and know when to raise an issue or ask for support.
What you’ll do
Working within Group TeamCover, you’ll provide timely and accurate claims support while identifying and implementing practical improvements that make our processes more efficient, consistent and effective.
- Claims support and administration: deliver accurate and timely claims support, including documentation, correspondence and stakeholder liaison, in line with required standards and timeframes.
- Records and information management: maintain clear, accurate and well-organised claim records and documentation, ensuring privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Process improvement: identify opportunities to simplify processes,
reduce duplication and improve the quality and consistency of claims support and broader Group TeamCover activities.
- Automation and digital solutions: design, build and maintain practical automation and digital solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint and other approved technologies.
- Collaboration and improvement: work closely with Group TeamCover colleagues, Wesfarmers businesses and external stakeholders to support effective claims processes and implement improvements.
- Quality, risk and safety: identify and escalate issues, risks or potential breaches where required, while contributing to a culture where quality, privacy and safety are shared responsibilities.
What you’ll need
- Operational experience: experience in claims support, administration or another structured operational environment where accuracy, process and timely delivery are important. Exposure to workers compensation, insurance or self-insurance would be advantageous.
- Automation and digital capability: experience developing and implementing automation or digital solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Platform or comparable technologies.
- Process improvement: an understanding of process mapping and continuous improvement, with the ability to identify practical opportunities to simplify or improve existing ways of working.
- Accuracy and organisation: strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Stakeholder and communication skills: clear written communication and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to implement changes and support new ways of working.
- Data and technology confidence: sound data literacy and confidence working with tracking tools, systems and information to identify issues, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
