Life Care | Greenhill Road, Adelaide | Permanent, Full Time

EGM Partners is partnering with Life Care to appoint a Quality, Risk & Audit Manager who can bring a commercially minded, whole-of-business approach to risk, quality and governance.

With established frameworks and systems in place, Life Care is looking for someone who can take these to the next level, embedding risk management into everyday decision-making, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and helping the organisation navigate a complex regulatory environment.

Our Client

Life Care is a trusted South Australian organisation that has been supporting older Australians since 1950. With a focus on positive ageing, Life Care provides personalised in-home care, nursing, allied health and spiritual care services, helping older people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

Guided by its mission to foster relationships of care that generate fullness of life, Life Care is committed to building meaningful connections and delivering services that reflect each individual’s needs, choices and aspirations. Its values of respect, integrity, engagement, teamwork and excellence underpin its commitment to helping older South Australians live life on their own terms.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Chief Experience Officer, you will operate as Life Care’s subject matter expert across quality, risk and audit. Working closely with the executive team, operational stakeholders and the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee, you will provide clear, evidence-based advice that connects regulatory obligations with operational realities and commercial outcomes.

You will take ownership of the organisation’s quality and risk frameworks, internal audit program, policy management and incident investigation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Enterprise risk management: Maintain and improve the risk framework, identifying risks across the organisation.
- Commercial decision support: Turn regulatory requirements into practical recommendations that balance client outcomes, business needs and risk.
- Quality and continuous improvement: Oversee quality systems, policies and initiatives to improve everyday practices.
- Incident management and investigations: Investigate incidents, identify root causes and recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
- Internal audit and assurance: Manage risk-based audits, assess controls and track corrective actions.
- Risk reporting and governance: Report key risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities to executives and Board committees.
- Systems, data and technology: Analyse organisational data to identify trends and use technology and AI to improve efficiency.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work across clinical, operational and corporate teams to build accountability and effective risk management.

About You

You are a commercially minded risk and governance professional who can see the bigger picture while remaining comfortable working through the detail. You understand how systems, controls and regulatory obligations interact, and you can translate complex requirements into practical advice that supports business decisions.

You will bring:

- Robust analytical skills and sound commercial judgement.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to make decisions and take accountability.
- The ability to investigate issues, lead root cause investigations and drive continuous improvement.
- Clear communication and the ability to influence stakeholders across different areas of the business.
- You are proactive, resilient, and show initiative, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating autonomously. You take ownership, move quickly when required and look for opportunities to improve how things are done.
- An interest in technology and experience in AI, with a willingness to explore smarter ways of working.

Candidates from all highly regulated industries are highly encouraged to apply; aged care or healthcare is not a must.

Why Join Life Care?

Life Care offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within an organisation that values continuous improvement, innovation and positive client outcomes. Life Care values flexibility and accountability, with a focus on outcomes rather than simply attendance.
