I am working with an established electrical contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join its growing Sydney team, delivering major high-rise residential Design & Construct (D&C;) electrical projects.

With electrical projects valued up to $20M, this is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Project Manager with proven high-rise residential experience who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, coordinating design and construction activities, and overseeing delivery from initial design through to completion.

About You

- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager delivering high-rise residential electrical construction projects is essential.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale electrical packages, ideally valued up to $20M.
- Strong understanding of Design & Construct (D&C;) projects, including design development, coordination and delivery.
- Experience delivering electrical installations across multi-storey residential developments, including apartments, common areas, basements and associated infrastructure.
- Sound knowledge of Australian Electrical Standards, regulations and construction methodologies.
- Solid commercial acumen across budgets, forecasting, procurement, variations and contract administration.
- Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors, builders, consultants and other trades.




- Strong technical understanding of LV distribution, main switchboards, metering, lighting, power, communications and associated electrical services.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or relevant project management software would be advantageous.
- Electrical trade background or relevant engineering/project management qualifications preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage high-rise residential D&C; electrical projects valued up to $20M, from design development through to commissioning and handover.
- Oversee project delivery, ensuring works are completed in accordance with programme, budget, quality and safety requirements.
- Coordinate electrical design development, shop drawings, technical submissions and consultant approvals.
- Work closely with Site Managers, Foremen, engineers and subcontractors to manage construction activities.
- Manage project budgets, procurement, cost forecasting, variations and commercial reporting.
- Coordinate electrical services with builders and other trades, ensuring effective integration throughout the development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, developers, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and implement cost-effective design and construction solutions.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, defect management and final project handover.
- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements, Australian Standards and contractual obligations.

The successful candidate will have a proven background in high-rise residential electrical construction and Design & Construct (D&C;) project delivery, with the technical expertise, commercial awareness and leadership skills required to successfully deliver complex electrical packages valued up to $20M.
