Job Description

As a result of a significant project pipeline, our Electrical, Instruments & Controls Team based in our Resources and Industry Group in Brisbane has an opportunity for Professional and Senior Engineers to support our growth.

Working in a dynamic, consulting environment on major mining, heavy industry and resources projects, you will utilise your electrical systems experience including HV, LV, instrumentation, controls and communications, vendor package integration, to drive the continued development of our team.

As an Electrical Engineer you will champion technical excellence and grow your experience under the mentorship of our experienced team members. Client liaison and project management opportunities will be provided on your career path, working for an international consultancy.

How you'll make a difference

- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years' experience designing industrial and mining power, electrical, instrument and control systems
- Demonstrated experience in the design and specification of systems such as HV/LV distribution, controls and communications and safety systems, preferably in industrial and mining space
- Experience in producing engineering documentation such as technical drawings and specifications, datasheets, scope of works and material requisitions




- Possess current knowledge of the relevant industry standards and the application in compliant designs
- Strong passion for delivering outstanding results and sharing knowledge with teams

Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
- CPEng and/or RPEQ (or working towards obtaining)

Key Responsibilities

- Carrying out Electrical Engineering assignments from project start to finish
- Provide detailed designs of Electrical Services and lead the development of electrical engineering advice and designs across medium to large scale projects
- Engage directly with clients, contributing to design meetings, technical discussions, and problem‑solving to ensure positive project outcomes
- Coordinate with architects, builders, and client teams to deliver smart, sustainable solutions and support client liaison
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team

Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in a Building Services environment as an Electrical Engineer
- Design & analysis of electrical, power, lighting, communications, security and data services
- In-depth knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
- Strong communication skills, client-facing experience, and teamwork
