Customer Service Officer - Scientific and Laboratory

Our client provides a broad range of specialised products and solutions to customers across the scientific and laboratory industry. The role has a strong focus on customer relationships, service excellence and operational efficiency, the business is seeking a proactive and customer-focused professional to join its team.

About the Role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this position offers a diverse mix of customer service, sales administration, relationship management and proactive sales support. You will play an important role in delivering a positive customer experience, managing enquiries and orders, coordinating service requirements and supporting the broader sales team. Beyond day-to-day customer support, you will also have the chance to build customer relationships, identify sales opportunities and contribute to ongoing business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage customer enquiries relating to products, pricing, availability, orders and deliveries.
- Prepare and process customer quotations and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Proactively follow up quotations and engage with existing and prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and growth.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling and promoting new products.
- Coordinate equipment servicing,



repairs and warranty enquiries with suppliers and service providers.
- Liaise with internal sales, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities and opportunities within the CRM system.
- Assist customers with online ordering, account registrations and eCommerce enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with Account Managers to support sales initiatives and customer requirements.

What to Expect

Experience within scientific, laboratory, medical, technical or industrial products would be advantageous; however, candidates from other product-based or distribution environments with strong customer service and sales support experience are encouraged to apply.
