Caffé Greco is a busy and vibrant restaurant located in the heart of Oakleigh, known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality food and drinks, and exceptional customer service.
We are currently looking for an experienced Bartender / Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, have a passion for coffee and cocktails, and take pride in delivering consistently high-quality beverages.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain consistency in coffee preparation, presentation and quality.
- Confidently prepare classic cocktails and follow house recipes.
- Provide friendly, professional and efficient customer service.
- Manage multiple drink orders efficiently during busy service periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar and coffee station.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
- Work collaboratively with floor staff, kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service.
- Follow responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements and food safety standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in both bartending and barista roles is essential.
- Strong coffee-making skills, including milk texturing, espresso extraction and latte art.
- Sound knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wines and other beverages.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise orders during peak periods.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
- A valid Victorian RSA certificate.
