Our client is a large Australian manufacturing business that’s part of a global listed group. The board and senior leadership have looked hard at internal controls across finance and decided they need tightening. They’ve created a recent role to own that, reporting straight to the CFO.

You’d be working on your own, so this suits someone who likes getting into the detail themselves and has the ability to indirectly influence + drive outcomes.

The scope covers the balance sheet and P&L;: inventory and production controls, discounts and sales rebates, debtors and creditors, provisions and delegations of authority. You’d also look after compliance with the parent company’s SOX-style controls framework and run risk reviews.





I’d love to talk to people with internal audit or controls experience in manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain, who know how inventory works in a big operation. If you’re a technical accountant who has moved into process improvement or internal audit/risk work, or wants to, I’d like to hear from you too.

The package is around $240k including super, plus an STI.

The role is Sydney based, hybrid working environment with minimum 3 office days a week.
