This role will suit an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a background in building services who is keen to expand their involvement in complex, mission-critical projects and play a key role in delivering sophisticated mechanical engineering solutions.

The Opportunity
Working within an established building services team, you will take responsibility for mechanical engineering design, coordination and project delivery across major data centre developments and other technically demanding projects.

You will work closely with clients, project managers, architects and engineers across other disciplines, providing technical expertise and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from concept through to construction.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading Mechanical Building Services Design across Data Centre and Critical Infrastructure Projects.
- Developing HVAC, cooling, ventilation and associated mechanical systems for complex building environments.
- Contributing to the design of mission-critical cooling infrastructure, with a focus on reliability, resilience and energy efficiency.
- Managing design documentation,



calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Coordinating mechanical designs with electrical, structural, hydraulic, fire protection and other engineering disciplines.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to developing engineers.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting project delivery, design reviews, quality assurance and construction-phase technical queries.

About You
You will be an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a solid foundation in building services design and the ability to manage complex engineering deliverables in a consulting environment.
Ideally, you will bring:

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Significant experience in mechanical building services consulting.
- Experience with data centres, mission-critical facilities or other complex, high-performance buildings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design, mechanical services coordination and relevant Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
- Experience with mechanical design calculations, specifications, technical documentation and design reviews.
- The ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and project stakeholders.
- An interest in mentoring engineers and contributing to the technical development of a team.
