C&H; Recruitment is recruiting for multiple Mechanical Fitters for workshop roles in Rockhampton working on overhaul projects on underground mining equipment.
This project starts immediately through to the Christmas period and potentially extended til March 2027, minimum 2 months work and up to 5.
Hourly rate: $59.93/hr + penalties
Roster: Monday to Friday 38 hours per week
Shifts: Day shift 6am starts
Your responsibilities will include:
- Strip, overhaul, and assemble underground mining equipment
- Interpret drawings and specifications to complete machinery assembly
- Hydraulic and pneumatic tasks
Skills and experience:
- Trade qualification - Fitter
- High risk license - forklift, doggers, or work platform (desirable)
- Minig or underground mining related experience (highly regarded)
