Our client is a well-established South Australian contractor with a Civil division delivering technically demanding projects. They are looking for a Project Engineer to join their Project Delivery team, reporting to the Project Manager and supporting the technical, contractual and coordination side of civil projects.

What you’ll be doing

- Administering project documentation, budgets, programs, progress claims, variations and extension of time claims
- Supporting the Project Manager through subcontractor procurement, including tender packages, evaluations and scope reviews
- Reviewing drawings and specifications for constructability and site constraints, and managing RFIs, submittals and correspondence
- Completing monthly accruals, allocating costs and supporting budget monitoring and reporting
- Developing and closing out action plans, including inspections, testing and hold and witness points
- Supporting site WHS plans, risk assessments and a zero-harm culture




- Using Procore and company systems to keep project records accurate and up to date

About you

- 5+ years’ experience in civil construction, including at least 2 years as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer
- Experience across areas such as earthworks, pavements, streetscapes, pipework and/or structural concrete
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Construction Management / Building (or equivalent relevant qualification)
- Robust planning skills and excellent written and verbal communication
- Leadership capability, with the ability to drive a positive, high-performing safety culture
- Experience with Procore or similar project management software
- DIT or SA Water experience is highly desirable
- Construction White Card, First Aid Certificate and a current driver’s licence
