Smith & Co is partnering with a well-established electrical services business to recruit an experienced Commercial Service Electrician with solid Lighting Control programming experience. This is a permanent role based out of Brisbane, servicing commercial clients across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

About the role
As a Commercial Service Electrician, you'll deliver high-quality electrical services across a diverse range of commercial clients. Your work will include maintenance, repairs, upgrades and installations, all while ensuring safety, compliance and exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

- Performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems, including lighting, power and control systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, and implementing effective solutions
- Upgrading and installing new electrical equipment and systems to meet client requirements
- Installing,



fault-finding and programming Lighting Control Systems and fittings such as DALI, Dynalite, KNX, C-Bus, Zen etc.
- Ensuring all work is compliant with relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
- Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
- Documenting work activities and maintaining detailed records
- Contributing to the team's continuous improvement efforts

What we're looking for

- Valid Queensland Electrical Licence, Open Cabling Licence and Driver's Licence
- Formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Commercial Service Electrician
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Lighting Control Systems, including installing and programming entire Lighting Control Systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes and safety standards
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work on jobs across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas
