Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Media, Communications and Engagement Officer to support the delivery of high-quality media, communications and creative design services within a Queensland Government organisation.

Working within a small, collaborative team, you will play a key role in developing engaging internal and external communications, managing media activities and producing creative digital and print content. This varied position offers the opportunity to contribute to stakeholder engagement, public awareness and organisational communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Research, write, review and edit media releases, media responses and communication materials.
- Develop engaging content for social media, websites and other digital platforms.
- Design and produce skilled communication materials, including infographics, brochures, publications and reports.
- Support proactive and reactive media activities and communication campaigns.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver communication and design projects from initial concept through to final production.
- Provide advice on communication strategies, graphic design, data visualisation and publishing solutions.
- Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:





- Proven experience in media, communications, marketing or a related discipline.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills across multiple communication channels.
- Experience developing engaging digital, social media and print content.
- Graphic design capabilities and the ability to produce professional visual communication materials.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Sound judgement, initiative, creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Highly Desirable:

- Previous experience within Queensland Government or a regulatory environment.
- Proficiency with graphic design software and digital content creation tools.
- Familiarity with content management systems and social media platforms.
- Relevant qualifications in communications, media, marketing or graphic design.
