About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals for the roles of Wardrobe Technician, Senior Wardrobe Technician, Head Wardrobe Technician plays a crucial role in the arts industry by ensuring that costumes are maintained, repaired, and prepared for performances. This temporary, casual position based in Perth, Western Australia, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in wardrobe management within a dynamic creative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the fitting and alteration of costumes to ensure proper fit and comfort for performers.
- Maintain and repair costumes,



including sewing, cleaning, and organising wardrobe items.
- Collaborate with costume designers and production teams to understand wardrobe requirements for various performances.
- Manage the wardrobe inventory, ensuring all items are accounted for and in positive condition.
- Support the dressing of performers before and during shows, ensuring quick changes are executed smoothly.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling costumes and equipment.

Qualifications:

- Basic knowledge of sewing techniques and garment construction.
- Experience in costume maintenance or wardrobe management is preferred but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
