Project scope:

The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW data centres which features:

- 8 x 10MW data halls​

- 2 x office and administration areas​
- Single storey precast concrete building that is 22,000m2​
- Internal complex integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security​ systems
- Extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works​.

Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager (Civil, Structural & Architectural - CSA) to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of multidisciplinary design solutions.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing design outcomes from concept through delivery, ensuring safety, quality, constructability, stakeholder satisfaction, and commercial success. You'll work closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and clients to drive design excellence and project performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the delivery of the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) design package
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and technical specialists.
- Ensure designs comply with client requirements, relevant standards, regulatory obligations, and safety-in-design principles.
- Drive design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and constructability assessments.
- Manage design schedules, budgets, risks, and change control processes.




- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and designers.
- Collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from design to construction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
- Champion innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement in design practices.

About You

You are a collaborative and influential leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality project outcomes.

You will bring:

- Degree qualification in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or a related engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience managing complex CSA design programs within infrastructure, energy, resources, utilities, transport, or industrial sectors.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and consultants.
- Strong understanding of design management methodologies, risk management, and project delivery frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to balance quality, cost, and schedule outcomes.
- Professional registration or chartered status will be highly regarded.
