BOILERMAKER – HEAVY MINING EQUIPMENT

TORRA Recruitment is seeking trade-qualified Boilermakers to join a large-scale heavy engineering and manufacturing operation supporting the mining and resources sector. Working within a well-established heavy workshop environment, you’ll be involved in the fabrication, welding and repair of large mining equipment and heavy components. This is a long-term temp-to-permanent opportunity suited to Boilermakers with strong flux core welding capability who are comfortable working on large-scale equipment and heavy fabrication.

What you’ll be doing

- Carrying out flux core welding, fabrication and repair work
- Working on heavy mining equipment and large components
- Completing heavy fabrication and welding to required specifications
- Operating large overhead cranes and working around heavy lifting operations
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety

What we’re looking for

- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker
- Solid flux core welding background
- Heavy mining equipment, structural or heavy fabrication background
- Confidence working with large components and overhead cranes
- Ability to complete an overhead vertical-up practical weld test

Dogging, rigging,



forklift and confined space tickets are advantageous. Glencore 9606 or 3834 qualifications or training are also highly regarded.

What’s in it for you

- Day shift: $55.40 per hour
- Afternoon shift: $63.71 per hour, inclusive of 15% shift loading
