Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant with sheet metal fabrication experience to join our client's roofing manufacturing team based in Moorebank.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident working with sheet metal and has experience measuring, cutting, folding and assembling metal products.
Ideally, you will have experience manufacturing roofing accessories such as rainwater heads, sumps, downpipes and flashings.
Key Responsibilities
- Measuring, marking, cutting and folding sheet metal to specifications
- Fabricating products from flat sheets of metal through to finished components
- Manufacturing rainwater heads, sumps, downpipes, flashings and other roofing accessories
- Operating guillotines, folders and other sheet metal machinery
- Working from measurements, drawings and instructions
- Ensuring finished products meet quality and measurement requirements
- Maintaining a clean and secure workshop environment
About You
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing
- Ability to measure, cut, fold and assemble products from flat sheet metal
- Experience operating sheet metal cutting and folding machinery
- Confident using measuring tools and working accurately with dimensions
- Experience in roofing manufacturing, rainwater goods or custom flashings highly regarded
- Good attention to detail and a reliable work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What's on Offer
- $42-$45 per hour casual, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday - consistent weekday hours
- 6:00am-2:00pm or 7:00am-3:00pm
- Moorebank location
