Salary and Benefits
This position offers a base salary of $127,618 along with additional benefits including:
- Accommodation allowance: $13,000 per annum (pro rata)
- District Allowance: $2,149 (Single) or $4,298 (Double) per annum (pro rata)
- Electricity Allowance: $1,400 per annum (pro rata)
- Annual Airfare Benefit: $1,285 per annum (available after 12 months of continuous service)
- Salary Packaging: Access to generous salary packaging benefits of up to $30,000 per annum, allowing you to increase your take-home pay through tax-effective arrangements
About the role
As a School Health Nurse,
you will play an key role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and adolescents across remote communities. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering school-based and child health nursing services
- Conducting health assessments and developmental screenings
- Coordinating referrals and facilitating access to specialist services
- Delivering immunisation programs and preventative health initiatives
- Providing health education and health promotion activities
- Working collaboratively with schools, families, and community stakeholders
- Supporting quality improvement initiatives and population health programs
- Maintaining accurate clinical records, documentation, and reporting
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in School Health, Child Health, Community Health, Primary Health Care, or Remote Area Nursing
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to work independently while effectively managing competing priorities
- Immunisation qualification
- Current Driver's Licence
- National Police Clearance
