Our client, a local Council, is seeking reliable and hardworking Waste Collection Team Members to join their waste services team across Leichhardt and St Peters suburbs. This is a great prospect to become part of the Council's waste services operations, with consistent weekday work and ongoing casual employment.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assist with daily waste collection operations.

- Report missed or damaged bins, resident disputes, workplace injuries and operational issues to the Waste Services Coordinator.

- Report vehicle accidents and complete the necessary incident and accident paperwork.

- Wash and clean waste collection vehicles internally and externally as required.

- Safely handle equipment and materials while working across various outdoor environments.

- Lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 20kg as required.

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and work effectively as part of the Council team.

What's on offer:

- Monday to Friday | 4:30am - 1:00pm.





- Pay rate: $36.29 per hour.

- Immediate start available.

- Various depot locations: St Peters, Leichhardt (Catherine Street) and Petersham.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

- A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport.

- A Heavy Rigid (HR) licence is preferred but not essential.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

- A reasonable level of physical fitness.

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

- Reliability and availability for early morning starts.
