Coastal Speech Therapy
Wollongong
At Coastal Speech Therapy, everything we do is about one thing: a child having the confidence to take their place alongside everyone else. Our founder and Director, Nicole Ohanesian, started the practice over 4 years ago to build therapy around exactly that, and it is what guides our therapy every day.
We are growing, and this is one of two Speech Pathologist roles we are hiring for. From day one, you will be supported through weekly one on one supervision and fortnightly career development team meetings.

- Weekly one on one supervision and fortnightly team PD
- $1,000 annual PD allowance

Our New Graduate Program
Starting your career with us means a structured 12 month program designed to build your confidence and clinical skills, step by step.
- Learn by watching first. Shadow and observe therapy sessions and assessments before running your own.
- A caseload that builds with you. Your caseload grows gradually as you ease into the role.
- Feedback on your reports. Regular feedback and reviews to help you develop your clinical writing skills from day one until you can be independent.
- Weekly one on one supervision and fortnightly team PD, plus a $1,000 annual PD allowance.
- Structured program reviews at 6 weeks, 3 months,
6 months and 9 months to reflect on your progress, share feedback both ways and plan your next goals.
After your first 12 months you will progress to our early career clinician level. Our salary bands and progression steps are documented and available to you from the start, so you always know your next step and how to get there.
What the role involves
- A paediatric caseload, including children who are neurodivergent, or have ASD or global developmental delay, with the option to see some adult clients if you would like to

- Assessment and therapy for a diverse paediatric caseload, including early language development, speech, language, literacy, social communication, stuttering and AAC
- Planning and delivering individualised, evidence based therapy
- Constructing Assessment and Progress reports as well as Management Plans
- Working with families, schools and other professionals
- Taking part in fortnightly team PD and contributing to a positive team culture
Essential requirements
- A Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology from a Speech Pathology Australia accredited program (new graduates, including students graduating in 2026,
are welcome to apply)
- Membership of Speech Pathology Australia, or eligibility
- A genuine interest in paediatrics and family centred practice
- A current NSW Working With Children Check and National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain
- A valid driver's licence
Highly regarded: paediatric placement or work experience, experience with neurodivergent children, and experience in stuttering or AAC.
What we offer for this role
- Support that never stops. Weekly one on one supervision and fortnightly team PD, a $1,000 annual PD allowance, and a clear pathway for progression through documented salary bands reviewed every year.
- Learn from the founder. Work alongside our founder and Director, Nicole, an experienced Speech Pathologist who is in the clinic every day and invested in your growth.
- More therapy, less admin. Admin and systems are handled by our admin team, so your time goes on clinical work. A work phone, laptop and shared company car for mobile sessions are provided, with kilometres reimbursed at $1.01 per km if you use your own car.
- Look deeper than the referral. Work with families to set goals around what matters most to them, with the backing to explore what else might be going on for each child through evidence based practice.
- Rewarded for what you put in. A competitive salary, quarterly performance bonuses, a $3,000 refer a friend bonus, a paid day off for your birthday, and a team lunch on us every Friday.
