Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for distribution projects
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documents
- Complete quantity take-offs for labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Assist with pricing strategies, project planning and construction methodologies
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities during tender preparation
- Support bid submissions, clarifications and client responses
- Liaise with engineering,
procurement and delivery teams throughout the tender process
Profile
A successful Estimator should have:
- Experience as an Estimator, Junior Estimator or Project Engineer
- Background in utilities, electrical construction or civil infrastructure
- Exposure to electrical distribution network projects highly regarded
- Understanding of overhead and underground electrical infrastructure
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
