$1,200 per day | Flexible Location | Remote Mine Site PortfolioA leading resources organisation is seeking an experienced Category Manager to take ownership of the Mining Services and Construction category for a major remote operation. This is a high-impact role offering the flexibility to work primarily from home, with occasional time spent in the Perth head office and visits to site as required.Working closely with operational, project and leadership teams, you will develop and execute category strategies, manage key supplier relationships, lead sourcing activities, and deliver commercial outcomes across a diverse portfolio of mining services, capital works and construction contracts.Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies for mining services and construction.
- Lead end-to-end tendering, negotiation and contract award activities.
- Partner with stakeholders across operations, projects and maintenance functions.
- Manage supplier performance and drive value, innovation and risk reduction.
- Support contract life cycle management and commercial governance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and continuous improvement.

About You
- Proven experience in a Category Management,



Strategic Sourcing or Senior Procurement role within the mining sector.
- Strong understanding of mining services, civil works, construction and contractor management.
- Well-rounded procurement professional with the ability to operate across strategy, sourcing and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills and contract management capability.
- Comfortable working autonomously while building strong relationships across geographically dispersed teams.
