Your current company
Our client is a well-established organisation responsible for maintaining local parks, gardens and open spaces. With a strong focus on safety, presentation and community service, they are seeking an experienced Parks Maintenance Officer to help keep public spaces safe, attractive and well maintained.
Your new role
As a Parks Maintenance Officer, you will undertake gardening, landscaping and general maintenance activities across parks and community spaces. Working Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 3:30pm, you will operate horticultural plant and equipment, inspect park infrastructure and assist with scheduled maintenance projects. Your duties will include:

- Operating mowers and other horticultural plant
- Completing basic gardening and landscaping tasks
- Inspecting footpaths, gardens, playground equipment and seating
- Cleaning, maintaining and repairing park infrastructure
- Operating and maintaining small plant and power tools
- Completing amenities and infrastructure cleaning
- Recording completed work and submitting maintenance requests
- Maintaining safe, clean and well-presented public spaces

What you'll need to succeed




General Construction Induction CardCurrent QLD C Class Driver’s Licence or interstate equivalentCurrent MR Driver’s LicenceExperience operating and maintaining small plant and power toolsAbility to operate an OutFront mower, tri-wing mower or similar machineryPrevious parks maintenance, landscaping, gardening or labouring experienceAbility to work independently and within a teamGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to complete accurate maintenance recordsChainsaw, pole saw, ACDC and AQF3 qualifications are highly regarded What you'll get in return
