An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Payments Reconciliation Officer to join a well-established organisation within a busy finance operations team. This role will suit someone with robust reconciliation and transactional finance experience who enjoys investigating discrepancies, working across payment channels and ensuring financial data is accurate and well controlled.
Your new role
Reporting into the broader finance function, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling customer payments across multiple payment channels, investigating payment queries and discrepancies, and supporting accurate and timely cash allocation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing customer payments across multiple payment channels and receipting systems
Completing daily payment and cash reconciliations
Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and customer queries
Preparing and processing customer refunds
Preparing payments for bank submission and entry into financial systems
Producing reconciliation reports and maintaining accurate financial data
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience with payments, reconciliations, accounts receivable, banking or transactional finance
Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
Experience investigating payment discrepancies and resolving complex transactions
Good systems knowledge and confidence working with large volumes of financial data
Excellent communication and customer service skills
