Project Mine Geologist Needed to Support Operations

Your new companyAn opportunity is available for an experienced Project Mine Geologist to join an established gold mining operation in Western Australia. This is a 6-month temporary assignment, working an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Your new roleWorking within the site geology team, you will support day-to-day mine geology activities and provide accurate geological information to assist operational and planning decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting daily mine geology and grade control activities
- Geological mapping, interpretation and model updates
- Planning and coordinating grade control and resource definition drilling
- Managing, validating and interpreting geological and assay data
- Reviewing drilling results and geological information
- Supporting ore mark-ups and ore/waste identification
- Assisting with geological reconciliation and interpretation
- Maintaining geological databases and QAQC standards
- Working closely with mining, planning and technical services teams
- Supporting junior geologists and field personnel

What you'll need to succeed

- Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline




- Previous mine geology experience within the gold mining industry
- Experience across grade control and resource definition
- Robust geological interpretation and data management skills
- Sound understanding of QAQC practices
- Experience with geological and mining software, with Surpac highly regarded
- Ability to work effectively within a site-based operational environment
- Current C Class manual driver's licence
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Clearance
