Valeo Construction Group is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Part-Time Safety Officer to join our growing OHS team. This role is based at our South Melbourne headquarters, with regular site visits across our project locations, starting with $30m project in location of Sunshine. Working three days per week, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our safety systems, while receiving mentorship and development opportunities in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of OHS management systems
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standards
- Assist in preparing for and participating in Federal Safety Commission (FSC) audits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, registers, and incident records
- Work closely with project and site teams to foster a proactive safety culture
- Assist with incident investigations and follow-up actions

Skills And Experiences





About You

- Experience in a safety-focused role, ideally within construction or a related high-risk industry
- Auditing experience highly valued, especially in relation to FSC audits
- Sound knowledge of federal safety accreditation requirements (OFSC/FSC) is highly desirable
- Excellent administrative skills and a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to site locations regularly
