Senior Accountant | Sydney - 5 days in office | $130,000-$145,000 + Super

We are partnering with an established ASX-listed business to recruit a Senior Accountant into its finance team.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, this is a broad role covering financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit, governance and commercial analysis. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, gaining exposure to group reporting, financial performance and strategic decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to broaden their commercial exposure and progress their career within a listed environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage external audit processes and prepare half-year and annual financial reports
* Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger integrity
* Manage AASB 16 lease accounting and fixed asset reporting
* Support sustainability reporting, ESG, Modern Slavery and corporate governance requirements
* Prepare regular financial performance reports and revenue analysis
* Monitor business performance, identify trends and provide actionable financial insights
* Contribute to board reporting, commercial analysis and key business decisions

About You

* CA qualified with experience in a Chartered Accounting firm, ideally looking to make a second move into industry
* Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience across statutory reporting and audit




* Commercially minded, with the ability to look beyond the numbers and understand business performance
* Proactive, hands-on and comfortable managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
* Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings to senior stakeholders
