Brisbane Reinforcement Company (BRC) is looking for 2 reliable, hardworking and motivated Steel Yard / Factory Worker to join our growing team for afternoon shift!
Training & Shift Hours
The successful applicant will complete their initial training on the day shift for approximately 2–3 weeks. Once training is completed, they will transition to the afternoon shift, working 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Picking and preparing customer orders for delivery
- Handling, moving and organising reinforcing steel products
- Assisting with general factory and yard duties
- Ensuring orders are picked accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
- Working as part of a team to meet daily deadlines
Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Robust work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Good attention to detail when picking orders
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience working in a steel yard, reinforcement factory or similar environment
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Knowledge of reinforcing steel products

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hands-on role in a busy steel yard, NOT a traditional factory environment . The position involves physically demanding work, including working outdoors, handling steel products, picking orders and loading trucks. Applicants must be comfortable working in an active steel yard environment.
