Aaron survived the Breaking Point Challenge. Now he needs a Project Administrator.
Our Townsville Team Leader, Aaron Ohl, recently completed the Breaking Point Challenge , a 30-hour army-style boot camp involving a series of physical and mental challenges to raise money in the fight against childhood brain cancer. A huge achievement, although those following the training journey were also treated to a very generous number of gym selfies along the way.
Now that Aaron has reached breaking point, recovered and hopefully retired the gym-selfie collection, he’s ready for his next challenge: finding a brilliant Project Administrator to join the Townsville team.
Don’t worry, there are no burpees involved in this role. Probably.
The role
We’re looking for an organised, practical and friendly Project Administrator who enjoys being part of a team and keeping projects moving behind the scenes.
You’ll work closely with Aaron and the broader Townsville team, supporting the day-to-day administration of our construction projects. This is more than admin for admin’s sake. You’ll gain genuine exposure to how live projects are delivered and can build your knowledge across project, contract and commercial administration.
Your day to day may include:
Supporting contract and project documentation
Keeping records, registers and project information up to date
Assisting with document control and compliance
Providing general project and administrative support
Working with project teams to keep information organised and on track
Learning how live construction projects come together, both on site and in the office
About you
You might already be working in project administration, office administration or a junior construction support role and be ready to take the next step.
You’ll ideally bring:
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication
Confidence using Outlook, Word and Excel
The ability to use initiative and juggle competing priorities
A willingness to learn, ask questions and get stuck in
A genuine interest in construction and how projects are delivered
A good sense of humour, particularly when Aaron shares another “motivational” gym photo
Experience in construction or project administration would be great, but just as key is finding someone who will fit into the team, take ownership of their work and be keen to learn.
If you’re ready to join a great Townsville team and work with a Team Leader who can survive 30 hours of army-style challenges, and document most of the training along the way, we’d love to hear from you.
