An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Structural Engineer to join an established Sydney engineering consultancy with a clear pathway towards senior leadership.

This is not simply another Associate-level engineering position.

The Director is planning the next phase of the business and is looking to identify, mentor and develop a capable structural engineering professional who can progressively assume greater responsibility for team leadership, project delivery and client relationships.

The longer-term objective is to develop this individual into a Principal / Associate Director position, allowing the Director to focus on other areas of the business.

For the right person, this represents an opportunity to establish a long-term career within a consultancy where succession planning is a genuine priority.

The Prospect

You will be involved in a broad range of structural engineering projects, including:

- Commercial buildings and developments.
- Low- to mid-rise residential and mixed-use buildings.
- Hospitals, healthcare and medical facilities.
- Schools, universities and educational developments.
- Government, institutional and public-sector buildings.
- Other technically compelling building structures across Sydney.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you will already be operating at Associate level or be a highly capable Senior Structural Engineer ready to take that next step.

You will bring:

- Strong structural engineering experience within the Sydney building consultancy market.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop structural engineering teams.
- Excellent organisational skills, including managing project priorities, resources and deadlines.




- Proven experience delivering structural engineering projects from design through to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence in dealing directly with clients, architects, builders and other project stakeholders.
- The commercial awareness and relationship-building skills to help develop and maintain client relationships.
- A hands-on technical background, combined with the ambition to progress into broader business leadership.

Experience with ETABS, RAPT and SpaceGass would be advantageous.
