Part-time – 6 months fixed-term | BaptistCare Wattle Grove, Lalor VIC | $41.94 – $44.42 per hour + NFP Benefits
You trained to make a real difference. Are you actually getting the chance to?
In a busy acute setting, it’s easy to feel like you’re moving patients through a system rather than caring for people. Aged care is different — and BaptistCare is different again.
At our residential aged care home in Lalor, you’ll know your residents by name, build genuine relationships, and have the time and support to deliver care the way it should be done. If you’re looking for a role where your clinical skills and your values are equally valued, this is it.
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
- Competitive pay : $41.94–$44.42 per hour, plus not-for-profit (NFP) salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550.
- 6-month part time fixed-term contract: A great opportunity to contribute your nursing skills in a supportive residential aged care environment.
- Consistent shift options: Morning shifts from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm or afternoon shifts from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
- Flexible days : Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, including weekends.
- Supportive team: Work alongside a dedicated care team committed to delivering quality, person-centred care.
- Career development : Access training and opportunities to develop your clinical skills.
- Wellbeing support: Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

- Lead and support care staff, ensuring practice is within scope and standards are upheld
- Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues
- Ensure safe and compliant medication management
- Contribute actively to continuous improvement and clinical governance
- Maintain your own professional development and currency within your scope of practice
ABOUT YOU
You don’t need a long history in aged care to thrive here — you need solid clinical foundations, a person-centred mindset, and the drive to lead well.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Experience in aged care or with elderly people (highly desirable but not essential)
- Confident in clinical environments
- Strong communicator — clear, respectful, and consistent with residents, families, and staff
