A-1 TRAILERS & FABRICATION PTY LTD As a Welder at A-1 Trailers & Fabrication Pty Ltd, you will work in a busy workshop environment carrying out cutting, fitting, assembly, and welding of metal components. You will be expected to read and interpret engineering drawings, prepare materials, perform welds to a high standard, and complete finishing and quality checks to ensure all work meets required specifications.

Variety in fabrication and welding tasks with a quality-focused team culture. Strong emphasis on safety, workmanship, and teamwork. Task & responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings and job specifications to confirm measurements, materials, and welding requirements.

Measure, mark out, and prepare metal components for cutting, shaping, and assembly. Cut and shape metal parts using hand and power tools to achieve accurate fit-up. Fit, align, and assemble components in line with engineering specifications prior to welding.





Weld metal components using appropriate welding processes to produce strong, neat joins. Clean and finish welds by grinding, filing, and chiselling to meet required quality and presentation standards. Inspect and check welded assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.

Qualification & experience 1-3 years of relevant welding/fabrication experience. Relevant qualification required (trade certificate or equivalent in welding/metal fabrication). Confident reading drawings and working to accurate measurements.
