Your opportunity

As the Eromanga Town Maintenance Officer at Quilpie Shire Council, you will be the friendly first point of contact for our community and a key player in keeping operations running smoothly. Reporting to the Town Services Supervisor, you will undertake a variety of maintenance and operational duties that contribute to the day‑today presentation, functionality and upkeep of Council assets and public spaces.

- Provide maintenance and development of streetscape and public areas to improve amenities
- Removal of refuge
- Undertake road inspections and reporting
- Assisting with emergency call outs as required
- Operate and maintain equipment, plant, and machinery

- Ability to relate well to community members
- Current General Construction Induction Card
- HR Licence (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of plants, watering requirements and standards of garden maintenance and tidy towns.

Although it’s not essential, it would be great if you had:

- Experience operating ride‑on mowers, tractors, loaders or other plant
- TMI Qualification (or willing to obtain)
- Water & Plumbing experience highly
