Key responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Rockhampton branch, ensuring smooth and efficient store performance.

- Set, monitor and achieve individual and store sales targets, driving revenue growth and profitability.

- Recruit, train, mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and achieve their potential.

- Manage staff rosters, performance, engagement and development while fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.

- Deliver exceptional customer service, managing escalated enquiries and resolving complaints professionally.

- Monitor branch financial performance.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, operational procedures and payment security requirements.

- Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising and local promotional activities.

- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and industry partners.

- Work collaboratively with senior management to identify opportunities for business growth and continuous improvement.

About you

We're looking for a confident,



approachable and commercially minded leader who is passionate about travel and genuinely enjoys helping their team succeed.

Ideally, you'll have:

- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in travel industry leadership or retail travel management.

- A strong background in leisure travel sales, reservations and operations.

- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing a high-performing team.

- Strong commercial awareness, including sales targets, budgets and profit and loss management.

- Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

- Confidence managing competing priorities in a busy retail environment.

- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to leadership.

- Experience with travel booking systems, Sabre (GDS) platforms and industry processes.

- The ability to create a positive, accountable and supportive team environment.

Experience in retail travel store management, including within major travel agency networks, will be highly regarded.
