With a head office on the fringe of Melbourne’s CBD and operational sites spread across the country, our client is a rapidly growing Australian delivery and logistics business. They provide outsourced courier and delivery solutions to clients across a broad range of sectors including retail, e-commerce, automotive and healthcare.
The Role
Reporting directly to a well-credentialed Head of Finance, with direct exposure to the CEO, you will become a highly valued member of the business . As a true business partner, you will be able to communicate your analytics to operational stakeholders in order to identify commercial opportunities for the business. Your key duties will include, but will not be restricted to:
- Translating data and commercial insights into meaningful plans and actions
- Partnering with the CEO, Executive Team, State Managers and Sales team to support decision-making
- Supporting growth opportunities through market and competitor analysis
- Building financial models to support pricing, rate reviews and tenders
- Analysing client and contract profitability
- Preparing and validating the financials in new business proposals and presentations
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly board reports
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced finance analyst / business partner and will have a track record of success in a highly regarded fast paced business. The following will be looked upon favourably.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting or commerce
- CA/CPA qualification would an advantage but not essential
- Ability to partner with the business and provide relevant commercial advice
- Robust analytical skills and ability to communicate analysis effectively.
- High level financial modelling skills.
- Previous experience in the logistics sector an advantage, but not essential
- Previous involvement in the preparation of board-level reports
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfortable using AI tools to support analysis and productivity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, proactive problem solver with high attention to detail
